Denver Driveway Pavers

Pavers for Driveways

Pavers make distinctive driveways. They also allow water to permeate and drain. We install quality bases for pavers, so that they will stand the test of time.

Pavers are Durable

Pavers add beauty to your outdoor landscape, and can withstand the forces of weather, water and traffic. We use pavers specially designed to withstand the freeze-thaw conditions of Colorado.

Highlands Landscaping pavers ensure a quality installation. Here are the steps to create your project:

When building a patio or a walkway using pavers we remove 8” to 12” of soil. After removing the dirt we will compact and grade the soil and install geotextile fabric. (Geotextile is typically defined as any permeable textile material used to increase soil stability, provide erosion control and increase the strength up the 40%).

After the fabric we will install ¾ minus gravel and compact every 3”. The last material before the pavers is 1″ of sand. This is the leveling layer that the pavers are sitting on.

When installing pavers we check every single paver to ensure proper drainage. After installing the pavers we will compact the pavers to eliminate any settling.

The last is Polymeric sand which is used to fill the joints between pavers, including concrete pavers, brick pavers, and stone pavers. This product is a fine sand combined with additives, usually silica, that, when mixed with water, form a binding agent. These binders lock the sand particles together, which helps lock all the pavers together.
