Rock Swale
A rock swale is a shallow, engineered landscape channel designed to manage and direct surface water runoff while preventing soil erosion. It consists of a gently sloped depression in the earth lined with river rocks or stones, which together create a stabilized path for water to flow across the property. Unlike underground systems, a rock swale keeps water on the surface, slowing its velocity and allowing for natural infiltration into the ground as it guides the flow toward a designated discharge point.
Make your backyard bloom with custom landscaping and natural designs
Highlands landscaping replaced my aging fence and re-andscaped my yard. They were prompt, communicated proactively, and did great work! Would highly recommend and will use them for future projects.
